Tom, Thankyou for your private message. My name is Peter Featherstone (i must point out,not the Peter Featherstone connected with the EEC). I am a long standing circus fan and have connections with a circus show being run for school groups etc.

If you post messages on a public forum, then i can reply exactly as i like. If you wish others to stay out of your business, has you have told me, then dont post your issues on this site.

I find it somehow amazing how you manage too keep a good name within your business when you are consistantly rude and offensive. It is you that argues what we should all be doing to promote the good name of circus. And all i see you do is create issues with the people connected with the industry.

Peter featherstone was a great person in circus and good friend to me in better happier days of this business. Please do not confuse the two issues. My opinions are placed here to forward circus art and and is open for debate, and will tollerate til the cows come home a logical argument - but I am the one insulted if you read the thread properly.
The matter between by brother and his son goes back 50 years as I underrstand it yet it must be constantly put forward by him on facebook, on all the Fun of the Fair and now here - I think the matter is private. It is my name and not Konyots name. I have one excellent name with who it matters including the thousands of patrons (please see our guest book!)

"we are -without doubt - the most successful staged slapstick show for the family "

The words Circus Hillarious and Danny Adams must terrify you?

I see you are back again Mr Sandow with your nasty comments. If you dislike the CFA so much then do us all a favour and stay away I for one am sick of reading your posts where all you can do is be bitter and twisted. Be very careful, this site will be monitored and people who can only be offensive will not be tolerated.

What nasty comments? My inputs have been direct and questioning to the leadership of the CFA to find out, as circus artistes what the policy is. I do not know what it is to dislike it. What I do dislike is first, being ignored and my questions ignored and then replied to by various persons who will not disclose who they are, with sarcasm and insult. This demeans a once great CFA. If you think my direct questions are 'twisted' then I am sorry for you.
I do get annoyed with this constant 'you have no friends' nonsense. What do any of you know? Take a look at my facebook page please, you will find some very powerful names there including the lovely **** **** you will also find Frazer Watson along with a few other circus fans, I admit, two are in America. I have received (lost count) of the posts following my diary of circus life so wonderfully placed by the American Historical Society after having the same pages put in the dustbin here by you kind people. This after being invited by the late John Turner to write them (another great insult by the CFA)
I have not been sarcastic or insulting to Mr. Jacks yet he see fit to be - as you say nasty- to me.

Do we realy care Tom,where where steves website shows up on google (for the record it shows on the first page when i type in his name and website into google and a great website it is too). You are a business, his site is for fans, simple as that.

Now we understand your grudge with the CFA maybe you could leave them to continue and support UK circus in their own way. Unless you are member, there business (as long as not causing any negetive image on the industry) is no ones concern.

So you must speak for Mr. Jacks as you all speak for each other? If he is going to 'get at me' then he is open for criticism?
The point is, tap in circus photographs' and find his site on page one of Google if he wants to promote circus its art and its people to the nation. Members hiding away under assumed names (as you do) and being placed far from page one is of no meaning to the positive promotion of circus is it.
I have no grudge other than real facts of insult as shown and not shown over many years - this set up have a grudge against me. They still have no right whatsover to say 'we intend to improve British circus', supreme arrogance and concern to circus artistes everywhere including the continent. If this is there continuing policy then get involved around the four points I have made or disappear and read King Pole.

Having been born into a big us circus family(been at cambridge for 2yr) i have a good idea about politics and circuses. Whoever Mrs.Roylance is has shown no respect to tom even my bengal shows more. I see theres obv a private matter going on and that both partys cant get on. However Mr.Sandow created this topic for one reason to show theres people who care in circus/political centre. Nice site steve great idea keep it up. Su and the rest of you are making a situation much harder. I think sue should apoligise for her aweful behavour. Please keep this topic ontopic!

Actually my comment was a bit below the belt so I apologise, but Tom had rattled me a bit at the time. I take it back and note his comments.

Thank you William. I did congratulate Mr. Jacks, it is a very good site so do not hide it promote it!
I have Sir Robert running through my vains and one can not get closer to real circus that that. I speak straght and will always give credit to anyone who promotes circus as a whole. I do not like closed shops, favouratisms
or secret societies. I am not perfect! But I have tried to keep this topic on topic. My initial point that upset a certain clown i.e., sandal wearing meant certain mindset in our country who are mostly left of centre politics I was not referring - as it was taken - to mean a political party.

I dont wish to add to this topicc. What i wish to say is quiet simple. This is a public site for anyone to read. If there is a personal dispute by any people on this site, it should be kept private. Some of the comments on this topic (and others) would encourage no one to like circus!
As a CFA Council member, i am asking for NO more posts on this topic. It has gone somewhat off course and at points has developed into a public slagging off each other scenerio.
This will not be tolerated.
Any topic is open to discussion and debate. When it gets personal, then sorrys people it has to stop.
Offenders will be removed, as will all their postings!
Thankyou.

David, I am pleased that you have come back on this thread. We have been in touch on one issue that I did know all about but was not fully appreciative. Obviously I am immensely proud of the brilliant old family history that I looked up to with wonder as a child and yes, that included my brother Richard, a most able performer with dynamic ability.
Your first reply to me on this thread was a wee bit confrontational and perhaps that set a tone, and my call to 'move on and do not let the past dominate the present' was put with a slight humour.

Readers may note that the CFA forum is now a closed entity. None of my comments have been 'twisted' or 'nasty'
but the truth hurts a bit.
For the real circus background and struggles of real circus people I am placing real knowledge on www.childrenschoices.co.uk
